My Child is Not A Blessing from God!

Today is the third day of Chinese New Year and as usual I will tag along my grandma and aunts to visit some relative. However, during the visit to one of my relative which supposedly is my grandpa's brother's wife, I came across a stunning family story. Mind you guys I wasn't kepo-ing, I was just sitting at the corner being a spectator to the whole story telling scene.

Alright the story goes like this,

My Grandpa's Brother's Son was married twice in his life (He is around 50+) now, His first wife divorced him after cheating his money, they were childless back then. And then there was the second wife which came along after the divorce, this time the new wife was not a blessing to the family instead she is the kind which thinks her husband is a millionaire and spend like there is no tomorrow, her mindset is "as long as there is credit card, nothing is a problem". Well as for the husband, all this poor man can do is to give in to whatever the wife requested including buying car even before paying off the old car's loan and buying properties in oversea. Oh yeah and the husband is only an employee which earn 4k a month.


Okay, let me get to the main point of the story. Shortly after the marriage to the second wife, the wife knowing she is infertile went to JB and found some syndicate which sell foreign children and adopted an Indonesian baby girl which was only 10 days old. Yes, illegally and paid a sum of 18k WITHOUT the knowing of the husband and the entire family.

She even borrowed a sum of money from some relative to buy the baby girl. When she returned home, the husband and in laws were shocked to find an Indonesian child with them. By then it was too late to return the child, so the couple had no choice but to name the child as their own and take care of her.

As days go by, the mother brought up the child in a totally wrong way, she loved the child so much she spoiled her and taught the child no manners at all. The mother told the child that the ah ma (dad's side) is bad whereas the mother side' is good, she was trying to brainwash the child. Besides that, the child was rude, rebellious and not to mention naughty. There was even once when the dad asked if she could share the food with him, she swallowed all the food and looked away. The mother spent around 600 a month on this child including all the unnecessary expenses.

Let me go straight to the point, recently the parents wanted to help the child to apply for passport and the officers in the immigration department suspected something amiss of the child as she was "black" and looked abit like a "native" whereas both parents are pure Chinese and white! And that's when all the drama starts occurring, the government then started sending warning letters insisting that the child undergo DNA testing to verify her origin.

On the other hand, the mother could not care more for everything that was happening because she "pushed the entire responsibility to the husband" like she has nothing to do with it, nonetheless the husband had to find a way to settle the problem so he spent 10k on hiring a lawyer and settling the court procedures. He even resulted to find some "datuk" with authority to settle the problem but with no success. While the husband is cracking his head and wallet in finding a way to solve the lawsuit, the wife only thinks of spending more money on unnecessary things such as buying shares and bonds as though the husband's problem is not hers.

After hearing the whole story, I just can't help thinking that can I consider the husband a man too real to be good or just plain stupidity? I felt pity for the man because he is just trying to clean up whatever mess the wife has left behind maybe because he is a caring and responsible man. It is also undeniable that the child may not be of their own heritage but then the child is innocent and I feel she deserve a mother which is more responsible and that she could have been a better child if she was brought up the right way. But I sincerely hope that the whole issue could be resolve as soon as possible because this will definitely affect the welfare of the poor child and the happiness of the entire family. Hope that God will be with them and see them thru this hard time. :)
